Question two:

Utopia is a word used to describe a perfect society. It was said to be a world were every one was at peace and were there were no ecnomonic, religious, or political issues. The meanings of utopia have changed over the course of time there is no real definition, but if one is to be used it would be eutopia, which means a positive Utopia.
Political utopias are one in which the government establishes a society that is striving toward perfection. Sparta was a militaristic utopia founded by Lancugus. Politics consists of " social relations involving authority or power.
Religious utopias believe in the particular religious tradition that establishes the utopia. religious utopia are often described of the "Gardens of delight", which means an existence free from worry in a state of Bliss or enlightenment. They postulate existences free from sin, pain, and death. A belief that if we are able to practice meditation without continuous stream of thoughts, we are able to reach enlightenment. This enlightenment promises exit from the cycle of life and death, relating back to the concept of utopia.
Particularly in the early nineteenth century, several Utopian ideas arose, often in response to the social disruption created by the development of commercialism and capitalism. These are often grouped in a greater "utopian socialist" movement, due to their shared characteristics: an egalitarian distribution of goods, frequently with the total abolition of money, and citizens only doing work which they enjoy and which is for the common good, leaving them with ample time for the cultivation of the arts and sciences.
Of all these things, utopia has changed alot of time and through it's cultures. Many different stories have been told about utopia and they are still trying to get it clear.

How would you define an utopian society?

1.) Equality

A. Equal Right

1.) Housing and Lifestyle
- No Homelessness
- No Class System
2.) Government Issues
- Job Opportunities
- Health Care
- Amount of Money won’t care
3.) Purpose/ Mission
- Education
- Peace
- Togetherness
B. Conclusion
- Overall

It is often said that a perfect utopian society is made up of comfortable living. Utopian society means an organized group of people in an ideally perfect place. Many views toward this idea can come from many places. A perfect utopian society is when everyone is living together in an equality lifestyle.

Equal rights come from how one feels about how things are handled. In our society today we are based on what class you’re in and how far you can get in life. What this mean, the people in the upper class has the power and the right to say how they want things done and handled while other in the lower classes do not even get their voices heard. In my utopian society there is no class system, everyone should live life as a whole, and everyone feelings that it is reasonable should be handle fashionable.

Some of our greatest fears we live in today is we don’t have the right jobs so we can take care of ourselves in a good manner. This is doing to the lack of our government system. For most Americans it is hard to find a job that has good health care and provide their families with it. The government from my stand point of view is like this well the rich getting richer and the poor get poorer we’re doing our best in a sense. Of my creation toward my utopian society it will contain government issues handled for all even the poor who are trying. It’s our way of saying no one gets life behind and every issues that is put forth is taking head on.

Our biggest down fall toward our society now is that there is not even opportunities and getting ahead and if there is some we do not know about it or it’s too late. As we go on in the future education plays a big part because without an education job opportunities are limited. As well as getting and education it is also hard when one part of the state is getting more advised classes then you are. A society should be based on how well people can function together and when everyone on the same page.

To live in a utopian society that fits you is not hard it’s just something that you have to look really hard for. To many people a utopian society means that it has no government issues, no racism, and no homeless people in it. These things make a perfect utopian society to some but to me that’s not all that people look for. Equality is what I look for in my utopian society. So when you past some new places think about their utopian society and is it equal to all.

1.Utopian Society
A.Why do people continue to pursue the concept of a utopian society?
1.Peace
·Neighborhood
·Life
2. Religion
·All for one religion
3. Politics
·No political issues
·Everyone was for the same laws and in the same state of mind

"Everybody wants to live a peaceful life without any issues." That’s the whole reason on why people are still following the concept of Utopian Society. So as stated, a Utopian Society is a world of peace, no religious issues and no political issues as well.
In addition, when living in a world full of peace there is nothing there to bother you or keep you from living that happy life that you have always dreamed of experiencing. Plus, when staying in a world of peace you do not have to worry about any drama or anything else that gives you a headache. Staying in a peacefully world can also open more doors for your future so you can become more successful. As well as living in a peaceful world your government will try and keep it that way.
Next, there are also no religious issues. These issues are created by when there are people who believe in a different god than you. Then often people start arguing then after the arguing they begin fighting. That’s way some people still pursue the Utopian Society because they don’t want to be involved in any negative actions due to religion.
On top of that there are no political issues. That means that all of the politics, laws and anything that has to do with the government is taken care of. Also since there are no political issues, almost everyone in that society basically should have the same state of mind as one another.
To conclude people still pursue the life of Utopian Society because they just want to find peace and move with their life without any drama or non-sense.

Back in History Dystopia was found in the Nineteen-Eighty-Four novel by George Orwell. Dystopia is a a theme to different books.

The purpose for this is to allow the society to determine their own negative thoughts. The consequences of this is imaginary. Imaginery is a dysopias stories reflect. not depict contemporary socciety. Also fear dystopias reveal and illustrate potemtial and more or less plausible dangers.

I believe that dystopia is a great way to explain your own thought of a bad society. Basically its hell on earth. Mostlikely dystopians are not harmful to people.

Utopian Society is viewed as a perfect society. A perfect world would not have murders. A world were people did not discriminate against each other. A world where people did not commit vicious crimes. People would not stand on the corner wasting there lives.

A perfect world would not have people being murder everyday. Where people would not come home from work and school turn on there televisions and see a new murder everyday. There are people who get killed everyday other things they have nothing to do with just being near the situation. People are murder everyday especially in the city of Philadelphia. Which some people who live here describe as the "murder capital" and "the city with more bodies than days"as if they are proud of people being killed at will.

A perfect world would not have people discriminate against one other. Everyday people start fights and arguments over people discriminating against others. People discriminate against others by talking about peoples appearance and the way people act. No one is perfect so therefore people should not discriminate on others just because of the way the look.

A world where people did not rob banks. Going around telling people to run there pocket and give up there belongs. No one should have to walk out the door of there houses in fear that they will have an en counter with someone over there things. People should not stand on the corner selling drugs either because it is not a good job. Drug selling is not something that should be taking as a career.

In all a perfect world would consist of people not killing one other. People not going around robbing others. A world without people discriminating against others. People would not stand on the corner selling drugs.

I) How would you define a utopian society?
a) Everybody says a utopian society would have nothing wrong with it at all or perfect. Many people have different views of what a perfect society would be. My perfect society would have be based upon what I think is needed to have a utopian society.
i) There would no gun violence people would have to find another way to express how they feel.
ii) There would be no homeless people; everyone would be in some type of home or shelter.
iii) Everybody would be happy.
b) My utopian society would be the best place to live. Anyone would love to live there. We have fair rules and everyone is treated equally. With all these ideas this would define my utopian society.

It seems that the world is becoming out of control, and no one knows what to do. My suggestion is to go to a place of peace my utopian society. Everybody says a utopian society would have nothing wrong with it at all or perfect. Many people have different views of what a perfect society would be. My perfect society would have be based upon what I think is needed to have a utopian society.
Opening with abolishing gun violence, gun violence is the number one cause of most death. Therefore there would be no guns at all. People would have to argue or fight out their disputes. With no guns people would feel safer and be able to live life without wondering if there going to get shot at. Anyone caught with a gun would be prosecuted and fined.
Coming after would be the abolishment of poverty. I would get all the homeless people of the streets and into shelters or a home of their own. I would make sure they would get cleaned up and get a job. Homeless people were just the average person with a job who just was not making enough to support them. It’s imperative that they have another chance to get back to having a normal life. By ending poverty it will make streets look cleaner. At the same time everyone would be blissful.
In the end the most important thing a person need is happiness. When you are happy nothing can get in your way and your are satisfied with your life. My society would bring everyone happiness because it would be what the people wanted. The taxes would be low and gas would be cheap. That way everyone could buy whatever they want without worrying about having no money. This would make the people in my society very happy.
As you can see no one would regret this perfect place. My utopian society would be the best place to live. Anyone would love to live there. We have fair rules and everyone is treated equally. With all these ideas this would define my utopian society.

Essay

My utopia does not exist in a perfect world, the reason for this is that I believe there is no such thing as a perfect world. There are balanced worlds, and worlds that exist in harmony, but never a perfect world. If there were such thing as a perfect world there would be no need for advancements and breakthroughs as there is now. Society would become stagnant, and eventually die off. So in my utopia, my world, things are ever changing, there is not a day that is like any other; there are similarities, but never the same thing twice.
The people that inhabit my world are content. They have all their needs met, and they meet the needs of their society. Everyone works. The need for everyone to work should be obvious. And anyone who does not work for the good for their society is exiled.
As a reward for working, all a persons needs are met by the society they serve. If you work, you get a house, you get the food you need, and the clothing to clothe you. Other material possessions are earned through a merit system. Through this system, if you go above and beyond what is required of your responsibilities then you earn a merit, and merits can be exchanged for superficial possessions. Working also guarantees free health care. This Violation of governing laws is a crime punished only by death. Citizens receive merits on an annual basis, but are required by law to spend these merits on the populous.
This provides the structure for my society. These are all that are no privately held. Service is a step above normal jobs, but a step below the armed services. All institutions provide the same level of learning to all that apply. For everyone, transportation is provided by the society for the publics use. , including relatives and children, if you are sick and cannot work, your relatives’ health care will cover you, covers everything.

My mother always told me that to get what you want sometimes you have to make sacrifices. To achieve the concept of perfection it’s some things that will need to be altered and/or abolished. Even though the idea of a utopia is a figment of one’s imagination to implement an actual utopia would entail a lot of “Give and Take”. Truth be told if it were up to me the world would be a paradise that wasn’t ran by currency and the concept of class. In fact everyone would be judged by their quality of life and their ability to deal with the hardships that occur in life rather than then amount of things that they can afford to purchase. In my utopia religious freedom would be granted to everyone and no one would even think of passing preconceived judgment on anyone because of their race, beliefs, or income. Society would be ran according to the people and everyone’s voice would be heard. In my nation freedom and justice would really be for all. This type of utopia is attainable, but at some costs. Everyone would be able to accept each other’s background if the mind frame of society was somehow rewired. Currency wouldn’t rule society if it was replaced by something that people felt was worth more. Preconceived judgment wouldn’t be an issue if society was more understanding.
Over the years it has become quite evident that people can be completely biased. The people that have been elected to run and govern our nations have been proven to cater to one specific class of people. The classes that are catered to the most in society are the classes that as a whole make up less than 20% of our world population. The majority of the world is the average working class citizen. They are the largest part of our population and the people that are often forgotten. If the utopia that I have in mind was to be set in place the leaders of our world would have to be mindful to make decisions that positively affect everyone of every class. If not than that person is not of high morality and is unqualified to make any type of decisions on any scale.
It is often said that money rules the world. In actuality, today money talks and walks and gets very far. In a perfect society money would take back its natural place as being just an object. Money is the reason hundreds of thousands of people die every day. If society’s focus was placed on something more valuable than money like a higher power than deaths wouldn’t be an issue and life would be valued more. By society’s biggest power being currency the world is literally spiraling out of control.
In the long run a Utopia can be achieved but with a lot of work. I honestly believe that people aren’t ready to live in any form of a Utopia. The changes that would need to be made can be attained but not any time soon. Money has too much power to just step down at this day in age. My mother always told me that to get what you want you have to fight for it. But what happens when fighting can’t even help your cause?

Everyone has their own idea of what a Utopia is. Some might say it’s a society that runs smoothly with little to no problems, where everyone and everything was “perfect”. When talking about a perfect society you have to first answer the question “What does it mean to be perfect?” To me a perfect society is a society is one that doesn’t have homelessness and has lowered taxes and education is available to everybody.
Nobody deserves to be without a home. Shelter is very important especially when it’s cold outside. In my utopia there would be no homelessness. Everyone would be forced to have a job even if they are only making minimum wage. Welfare would no longer exist because everyone is capable of working to maintain a way of living. There would be no more lazy citizens that depend of the government as a source of income while they do absolutely nothing.
Every pay check the average citizen get’s a large portion of their pay deducted for taxes. If people got more of the money that was deducted it would ease struggling people that live paycheck to paycheck. In my perfect society the lowered takes would help those who struggle to save their money because after they pay their bills there are no money left. This eliminates all that and leaves the people happy.
Its many people who don’t go to college because of the cost. If it was up to me my utopia would have free higher education. That was anybody really can be anything and not have an excuse. Anybody could attain any position and race, religion or their differences won’t matter. With all schooling being free it takes off the burden that parents have on them to pay for their children’s school. Everyone will get the same education no matter their class.
Ultimately my utopia would be a world of fairness and happiness. My utopia would be filled with happy citizens that are well educated, well sheltered, and have money in their pockets. This would make the world a better place and really my definition of a utopia.

I think so many people pursue the idea of an utopian society because they just want to live somewhere where you don't have to hear on the news about somebody getting killed. They just want to live somewhere where there's no issues and nothing bad is going on, it's just perfect. They want peace, to live in a good community, no taxes and you don't have to vote their will be no president or politics.

I think deep down everybody wants to live in a society where there's no issues. I live with my grandmom and she's always talking about how she wants to live in a peaceful neighborhood so that would perfevt for the senior citezens if they lived in a utopian society. There would be no type of violence.

Everyone is entilted to there own poinion. I strongly feel tht competing notions of what a utopian society should look like lead to conflict because everyone has there own opinon of how and what something should be. so that bascially means that it will cause disagreements which will cause conflict. I also feel that it will cause conflict because no matter what you do people will never be satisfied with something unless it is the way they want it to be. Futhermore people believe in different things and like things in certain ways so what one citizen like the other may no like so i think that this would be a way it will lead ro conflict. when one is no satisfied of something arguments and fights occur. disagreement will always be a issue.
I believe that there should always be rules in a society. but no one every wants to follow them. I also feel that no one wants to live in a world with no violennce. Deep down inside someone is always going to complain about the rules and is never going to be satisfied about what is going on.i also feel that it causes conflict because everyone wants things there way and when you are in a society you need to have a certain way your city is going to be ran.

Question: How would you define a utopian society?

Main Idea:
A. The whole idea of a “Utopian Society” is a figment of the world’s imagination that allows people to ponder what the world would be like if we all lived carefree. There are at least three main factors that would contribute a “perfect society”:

1. Government
a. A society shouldn’t be run by one sole governing body. The government should really represent all classes of people and should be for the people, not for the money.
b. There should be an upper-class representative, a middle class representative, and lower class representative that work together to find common ground between all classes of people and rectify the saying “Give and Take”, meaning make sure everyone is happy without demeaning the other classes.
c. The three representatives should work with each other not only in creating common laws but when interacting with other countries. Since the population is controlled and is only a maximum of 500 people everyone should be able to voice their opinion in deciding the political moves the Utopia makes, and everyone would actually be heard.

2. Currency
a. In my idea of a Utopia all currency would be equal.
b. Everyone would be given a universal amount of $1,000 a month. Depending on if you have children you’ll probably receive more.
c. All money would be held in three separate but equal banks. Your economic class will decide the bank that you utilize. This will ensure organization and reliability when dealing with the money of citizens.

3. People/Education
a. All citizens will be required to have attained at least their bachelors degree in order to remain a citizen if the Utopia. Education will be take very seriously and children will be required to attend pre-K as soon as they are able to talk (at around the age of three).
b. If one decides they aren’t “college material” they will need to have at least received their education from some sort of trade school.
c. Children will begin to be prepared for college in grade 8. They will be required to have at least 4 hours in a college classroom in at least 3 subjects each in order to graduate high school.

Question: What are the ideals (e.g., freedom, responsibility, justice, community, etc.) that should be honored in a utopian society?

Main Idea: In order to have a fully organized and stable utopian community certain principals would need to be honored. Of these principals there would be three main ideals that would be key in maintaining this perfect society:

A. Freedom
a. A utopia should honor freedom in a sense that everyone’s voice should be able to he heard. No one’s opinion should ever hurt them.
b. Citizens would be able to live their lives freely and not constructed under a dictatorship.
c. People would be able to make their own decisions but if they make a decision that goes against the laws of the utopia they will know the consequences.

B. Equality
a. Everyone should be treated equally and would not be judged by the color of their skin or social class but by the content of their character.
b. Everyone will have the same opportunities in every field.
c. All residents of the Utopia will receive the same education.
d. Everyone will receive equal punishment also according to the crime.

C. Family
a. The idea of the “Nuclear Family” would be the standard family unit of the Utopia.
b. Families should be honored and stick together.
c. If two people that have children should divorce they would be assigned an advisor that devises a schedule that allows that family to remain stable for the children.

Question: Has the concept of utopia changed over time and/or across cultures and societies?
Main Idea: As long as the human race as existed the idea of perfection has been altered. Location is also a factor someone living in China would not have the same experiences and needs as someone living in the United States. The concept of a utopia has changed over time for different cultures also for examples:

Question: Why do people continue to pursue the concept of a utopian society?

Main Idea: Since the idea of creating a world that is utterly “perfect” is so entertaining people continue to pursue the concept. The advancements that are made each day give people hope that one day the world will be a utopia itself. For these simple reasons the concept of a utopia will always be embedded in society’s minds:

A. Hope for a new world
1. If a utopia is what is aimed for than the decisions that are being made today are being made so that one day the world will be perfect.

B. Peace among the nations
1. If the concept of a utopia is still pursued than that will mean peace and harmony among all people, nations, and races.

C. Less Crime
1. If a true Utopia is achieved than we will know how to deal with the criminals and keep them off the streets.

Question: How do competing notions of what a Utopian society should look like lead to conflict?

Main Idea: Since everyone’s idea of a Utopia varies, conflict is inevitable. Of course what I believe are the key components of a Utopia someone else might disagree. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but with so many competing ideas of what a Utopia is problems arise.

A. Differences
1. Of course everyone believes that they are right. With that state of mind it becomes hard for people to form a compromise.

B. Opinions
2. A universal opinion should be formed that includes everyone’s opinion but wit so many people that are unwilling to compromise that seems impossible.

C. Key Ideas
3. Surprisingly enough there are many key idea that are universally thought of to make a perfect society, but with stubbornness comes ignorance and it limits peoples thinking.

Question: What is the purpose and / or consequence of creating and/ or maintaining a dystopian society?

Main Idea: When creating a society that is full and utter chaos nothing good can come of it. Though a place without laws and order sound good in the end no good can come of it.

A. Citizens will have no respect for authority
1. With everyone running rapid and untamed anyone standing up and saying that order is needed will just be torn down.
2. There would be poor interaction with other nations because it would be little to no organization.

B. Nothing constructive will be accomplished

1. There wouldn’t be a president and so there would probably be a lot of conflicts and wars.

C. It will lead to destruction
1. The ultimate consequence of a dystopian society is the demise of it.
2. Everyone would probably kill themselves and the society would run itself into the ground.
